I have an ebook of this, which I’ve been keeping for a year now. This was introduced by my friend who fell in love with all the facts written…. And now, all the facts are written all over her face.

This is really catchy, I mean who of your friends have the nerve to tell you that your guy is not that into you…after you’ve been weeping for hours and days and wondering the unthinkable excuses that you can possibly think of… just to make you feel better…

So, I read like quarter of the more than eighty-pages-ebook, and I don’t like it. I mean, I like it in a wrong way which turns out I must not like this book anyway. It gave me a slap on my face how pathetic I was, including half of world. So I stopped…

And then, they make this into a movie…. A star-studded movie… produced by Drew Barrymore, who was included on the casts. I watched the movie. I love the movie. It was so funny and semi-factual. I feel like, I am GIGI – the woman who always misinterpret signs given by men (she’s more pathetic though, I think). Everything about her on the movie is so true, except the happy ending. I totally agree with Alex (played by Justin Long) that if “he’s not calling you, he’s not interested in you; if he doesn’t wanna see you, he genuinely doesn’t wanna see you.”

Why girls love watching romantic movies? This is called like an artificial kilig. Girls love the feeling of being pursued, of someone being drawn by her, of being swept off her feet. We are dreaming of a perfect guy everyday and suddenly wake up on a sudden nightmare. But, what are we going to do now? Nothing… absolutely nothing.

I quote on what Liz Tuccillo say, the author of the book. She said that, “in this day and age, the hardest thing to do for many women, is nothing. We like to scheme, make phone calls, have a plan. And we make sure our hair doesn’t frizz.” But honestly, all we have to do is nothing. It doesn’t make any sense at all…. But this is the reel fact if we don’t want to be confused or be messed up with wrong signals men are bringing to us.

Phew. All through out the movie, I was on in depth thinking. I believe most girls were doing the same thing while watching. How often your guy told you that they are “busy”? How often did they use the words, “tired”, “no time” or “next time”? The funny thing is, we believed.

On the book itself, there was the most interesting part discussing on “what should we do?” Here it goes:

• Don’t go out with a man who hasn’t asked you out first
• Don’t go out with a man who keeps you waiting by the phone
• Don’t date a man who isn’t sure he wants to date you
• Don’t date a man who makes you feel sexually undesirable
• Don’t date a man who drinks or does drugs to an extent that makes you uncomfortable
• Don’t be with a man who’s afraid to talk about the future
• Don’t under any circumstances, spend your precious time with a man who has already rejected you
• Don’t date a man who’s married
• Don’t be with a man who isn’t clearly a good, kind and loving person.

These seem idealistic. But, I don’t think there’s any harm on following these standard suggestions. These aren’t as heavy as the Ten Commandments. Gotta learn girls.. gotta learn…

So, for those guys who are reading this now… prepare yourself… You're not into us... And we know that!!!!!!!!hahahaha

Isang malalim na buntong-hininga… HAAAAAY! Another special day ng mga lovers na naman ang dadating. So, hinde na naman ako kasama sa magcecelebrate nito. Wahahahaha.

Anyway, ganun talaga…. Sabi nga nila… Hinde lahat ibinigay sa’yo ni Lord. So, isa to sa hinde binigay ni Lord sa kin… ang ka-date sa Valentine’s Day! Tulog ata si Cupido!  So sa mga single like me, the first thing we should do: Recognize that you’re definitely not the only one. According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates that more than 80 million people will spend this holiday as single. Yahoo! Marame kame! So, if wala kang ka-date on this day, ano ang mga dapat natin gawin:

o       Magmukmok sa bahay, magmarathon ng DVDs ng favorite romantic movies --  in short, lalong gawin depressive and day na ‘to.

o       Maglasing --  lalo na pag kakabreak pa lang sa jowa.

o       Magpretend na ito ay ordinary day… lilipas din to.

o       Makipagblind date. Humanap ng mga kakilala na may single friends.

o       Kung walang single friends – aba.. maghanap!

o       Mang-agaw ng bf or gf. I know, bad idea ‘to… and not encouraged… pero possible to nangyayari… yung mga May Asawa nga dito sa Singapore… parang Single… at may mga jowa! Astig! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

o       Pumunta sa mga party for Singles…. Have fun… Socialize! Celebrate singlehood!

Ako, di ko pa lam ang gagawin ko this Valentine’s day… but definitely, I won’t deprive myself to celebrate… it’s a Heart’s Day for Godsake!

Happy Heart’s Day

I’ve been so excited to meet the group I just recently joined in. I was looking for a new group, that have a same interest I have right now --- photography… Actually, I prefer na ako yung pipicturan.. kesa ako ung magtake ng picture…. (conceited). Well, wala na tayo magagawa… nabili ko na yung saksakan ng mahal na camera! So, panindigan na lang ano….

Anyway, so before I bought this most-anticipated-posh camera, I ask this group of people who’ve been an EXPERT or PRO or whatever you call it, on this hobby. EXPERT, kasi sobrang tagal na nilang hobby to… and PRO, coz so many things, they saw, captured, posted and invested on this hobby. Nakakalula mga camera nila…. Parang mga Newtonian telescopes na sa sobrang haba….

Then, I had the opportunity to meet them on their occasional EB. At first, I was hesitant, kasi… baka ma-OP ako. Ano ang intro ko? Hi! I’m Char --  ang henete ng pangkarerang kabayo… (lol) But then, they are all soooo nice and cool. Ang kulet nila lahat.  Maybe because we’re speaking the same lexicon. Nakakatuwa to be able to  finally meet them – yung mga nagvivisit ng blog mo at nag aanswer sa mga forum…. I can’t wait for the next EB… and learn more.

We met at the Chingay Parade – backstage… We’re like freaks running around here and there to capture great images of different races, with flamboyant costumes and colorful make up. Natakot ata mga participants… kasi para mga paparazzi! I was so unfortunate though, coz wala akong kuhang maganda! Nakakainis! We found out na madumi yung lense ko… aNaK ng tOkWa naman….. so… yung mga pictures.. either… sobrang bright…. Blurry! I had fun though. I knew that it will take a million shots to have a perfect portrait.

It’s nice to meet these guyz! Mabuhay Pinoycsers!

Sa mga pathetic na accountants kagaya ko, stressful ang first few days of the month. Kung ang lahat ng tao e nagpi-piesta kasi sweldo na… ang mga accountants, nagkukumahog magtrabaho dahil sa month-end closing. FYI: Month-end closing is literal na pagsasara ng libro for a given period. Baket? Wag mo ng itanong…. Kasi kung ako ang tatanungin, wag ng isara yan…. Hahaha (Patay talaga ko sa boss ko nito). Only few could understand why this kind of activity is giving us stress, sleepless nights, job and money. If one-time lang ang closing…. Baka wala na kameng trabaho nito…..This is called our recycling life

Anyway, this week is my month-end closing…. So I told myself… I will not open my blog… I will check my friendster neither…. Pero eto…. Kahet konting post man lang… nagcoconstruct ako. Hay… kung kelan ako busy… ang dame kong gustong isulat…. Naaadik na naman ako sa pag-bablog.... Pag di ako umabot sa deadline ko... ipapasara ko ang MULTIPLY.

Clarke Quay lang ang alam kong gimikan dito sa SG.... at MOS lang

Masayang gumimik dito... parang ibang mundo.... Wala kang isang askal na nakawala.... (ang panget ng comparison)

Ewan ko ba, hinde ko na rin ini-entertain yung idea na gumimik dito kasi:

• Mahal --> $25 ang entrance; with two hard-drinks
• Ang hirap ng Taxi --> hinde naman may shortage ng cab... mahal ang fare.... kung Mag-NR ka naman... sumikat na ang araw bago ka dumating sa bahay
• Sa clarke quay, i think 50% Caucasians, 30% Anaps, 15% Chekwa at 5% ang Pinoy... asa Hooters pa sila... nagseserve
• Hinde mo maintindihan kung sino ang wild --- sila o ikaw? haha

Magugulat ka na lang na may magchuchurvahan na sa harap mo, sa likod mo at everywhere... Ikaw na lang walang ka-churva... hahaha

So, when we went to Clarke Quay... wala kameng ginawa...

More than five years na kong may friendster account à at yung status ko hinde pa rin nababago… Anyway, it’s not about that why I’m blogging about Friendster. Laos na ang Friendster. Izzin’t it? Marame ng alternative networking ngayon --  Myspace, Facebook, etc. That time when I became hooked up with Friendster… ay naku…. Muntik pa kong magpapictorial para lang magkaroon ng primary pic… haha…

I think, “in” talaga to especially sa mga pinoy…Ginawa nila tong outlet para makapagyabang, mahanap ang crush, mainsecure sa new gf/bf, pagselosin ang ex, alamin ang buhay ng iba, i-grab ang mga pics ng iba…. Dumame ang friends, mameet ulet mga old friends………. At magupload ng sari saring events ng buhay!

I remember, kapag walang magawa…. I-sesearch ko lahat ng naging classmates ko nung kinder, elementary at highschool… nakakatuwa…. Na through this junk-slash-pathetic-networking, magkakaroon ng communication with old-good-friends. Also, sa friendster…. Nagbreak ang magjowa, nagkabalikan ang magjowa…. Ang nahuli ng mga misis ang kabit ng mga mister nila… hahahah….

Mashado na nga siguro taung nabobore sa buhay… kaya yung mga ganito e pinapatulan naten….

Laos na nga ba ang Friendster? Sabi ni Kris (Aquino), facebook ang “in” ngayon? Maybe in time…. Wala na magkakaroon ng Friendster account, but as of now…. 2^nd most viewed pa rin to sa Pinas…. (first ang Yahoo).

Kaw may friendster account ka ba? Add mo naman ako o…. hehehe xxx Char

Yeah, you’re right I’m staying in Woodlands Singapore…. Maliit lang ang Singapore… but, if sa Woodlands ka nakatira…. Dumungaw ka lang sa bintana…. Malaysian Oxygen na ang malalanghap mo… hahaha!

Baket ba ko napadpad dito? Well, first.. mura ang rent dito… second…. If punta ka ng Jurong East or Marina bay… keribells lang… kasi asa gitna ka ng red line. But, imagine if galing ka ng Changi Airport.. or worse sa Budget Terminal kasi zero fare ang Cebu Pacific? Mas mahal pa ang ibabayad mo sa taxi papuntang Woodlands kesa sa umuwe ka ng pinas.

Marame akong funny experiences… sa pagtira ko dito… Pag gigimik…. Ako muna ang magbabayad, kasi last drop ako ng taxi. Ang hinde nila alam… in ringgit ang taxi fare.. joke lang.. Kapag may meeting ako ng 8 am, never akong nagging on-time! Hahaha…. Ang signal ko…. Hinde na Singtel…..Maxis na… Kelangang umalis ako ng office ng 5:30 pm para umabot sa American Idol.

Pero, may mga advantages din naman ang tumira sa ganitong kalayong lugar…..

1)                  Nakakapagbasa na ko ng book. Ang dame ko ng natapos na books kesa sa maubos ang oras ko sa more than 1 hour na byahe…. At mainis sa morning breathe ng mga tao sa MRT….

2)                  Nakakapagrest ako…. Mahabang NAP…. Bwahaha… minsan.. ibang station na pala…. Hehe

3)                  Maraming chance and time na makapagisip….di ba pag bumabyahe tau… bumabyahe din ung utak naten……

4)                  Mura ang bilihin dito…. Ewan ko lang kung totoo… malay mo…

5)                  Compare sa boon lay… feeling ko mas safe dito….

6)                  Marameng buses…. Kung gusto mo ng isang upuang travel…. Andito lahat sa Woodlands Interchange…. May papunta pang Malaysia…. Bus 950

But then, okay naman yung place na to…. Malayo man.. malapit din… wahaha… Baket ko ba binablog tong Woodlands?

Kaw? San ka nakatira? Trip mo ba ang place mo ngayon? Kung hinde… aba… mag-alsa-balutan na… hehe
